SOLUTION

1.Monthly salary of Raj =1.44 × 60 /12×100

= 0.072 lakh

Anuj’s monthly salary × 1/5 = Raj’s monthly salary × ¾

Anus’s monthly salary = Rs. (0.072 ×3/4 ×5) lakh

= Rs 27000

2.Present age of Ram’s son = x years

Ram’s present age = 3x years

Ram’s father’s present age = 15x/2 years

x + 3x + 15x/2 = 46 × 3

x = 6

Required difference = 15x/2 –x = 13x/2

13×6/2 = 39 years (approx)

3.Speed of the bus = 480/8 = 60kmph

Speed of the train = 60 × 4/3 = 80 kmph

Speed of the car = 15/16 × 80 = 75 kmph

Required distance = Speed × time

= 75 × 6 = 450km

4.If the side of the square be x cm then, п × 35×35 + x2 = 5450

=> 22/7 ×35×35+ x2 = 5450

=> x2 = 5450- 3850 = 1600

x = 40

Required sum = п ×d+4x

= (22/7× 70 + 4×40)cm

= 380 cm

5. If the largest and the second largest angle 3×0 and 2x0 respectively then third angle =x

x+2x+3 =1800

• x=300

Required sum =x+2x= 3x = 900

Calculation (6-10):

Number of boys = 1200×45/100 = 540

Number of girls’= 1200- 540 = 660

Number of girls visiting Mumbai = 660×30/100 = 198

Number of girls visiting Delhi = 660 × 2/5 = 264

Number of girls visiting Jodhpur = 264/2 = 132

Number of girls visiting Kolkata = 2/3 (660-198-264-132) =44

Number of girls visiting Varanasi = 22

Number of boys visiting Mumbai =300-0198 =102

Number of boys visiting Delhi = 540×1/5 = 108

Number of boys visiting Jodhpur =540 ×40/100 =216

Number of boys visiting Kolkata =114/2 = 57

6. Required number of girls  = 198+264+22=484

7 .Required percentage =(216+132)×100/264 =132

8. Required average (57+57+216)/3=110

9. Required number of students = 22+57=79

10.Required ratio =44:102= 22: 51
